LIME CRIME VELVETINES LIPSTICK! NEW COLOUR PINK VELVET!

I know there has been lots of reviews already about the very famous and popular Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick but as i'm such a fan of these lipsticks and I'm super excited today as I've just ordered their latest colour Pink Velvet :-)

Pink Velvet

I already own in my kit their two other colours Red Velvet and Suedeberry and can't recommend these products enough!
Red Velvet Velvetine

Suedeberry Velvetine

They go on as a liquid and dry to a beautiful Matte finish and are very long lasting.

Here's a picture from a recent shoot where I used the colour Suedeberry and as you can see the finish is beautiful. The colour lasted most of the shoot and was easy to apply by adding some of the liquid to a palette and then applying with my makeup brush. I also found when I had to change the lip colour to a natural lip for another look, the velvetine was easy to remove and left no stain.

I have just ordered mine online from Love Makeup and as soon as I receive it I will do another post featuring the swatch :-)

LFW EMILIA WICKSTEAD SS14 - ASSISTING EMMA O'BYRNE WITH AOFM

Last month I had the privilege and a great time assisting an amazing makeup for another on schedule show at London Fashion Week.

I joined 10 of my fellow AOFM graduates backstage at Halcyon Gallery in New Bond Street with Key Makeup Artist Emma O'Byrne who designed the look for Emilia Wickstead SS14 Show.

On arrival at our 7.45am call time Emma O'Byrne demonstrated the makeup look.

Firstly the skin was prepped using Dermalogica skin care, who sponsored the show with their products. The skin was thoroughly cleansed with their Ultra Calming Cleanser followed by their Multi Active Toner and Active Moist Moisturiser .

The makeup was keep simple and very natural with an emphasised brow, beautiful skin and a hint of Plum colour to the lips. Some of the makeup brands used were OCC, Tom Ford & MAC.

Here's some backstage and final look images...

The Show & Hair Style

Celebrating 10 years at London Fashion Week this year, Designer Bora Aksu looked to his Turkish roots for inspiration for his S/S 14 collection “Nazar”.

Chrysostomos Chamalidis explained the hair inspiration:
“The style I created was evocative of a beautiful rural Turkish peasant girl who has been outside in fields all day. Her look is youthful and fresh with a windswept, but not frizzy, hair texture to perfectly complement Bora’s collection."

To achieve the perfect wispy texture the hair was carefully prepped with KMS ADDVOLUME root & body lift, KMS ADDVOLUME volumising spray and KMS HAIRPLAY makeover spray, and finished with KMS HAIRPLAY playable texture and KMS TAMEFRIZZ taming creme.
